Featured Saturday Walks & Hikes

We include all the favorite walking and hiking locations in the area for you to explore and enjoy. We meet Spring and Fall for one walk and two hikes/month. A leader is present at each group and we always go rain or shine. We appreciate all those who have been attending and we are always open to any input.

Seeking New Members

We accept new memberships any time of the year. You can register on-line here or by calling in Kelowna (250) 868-0460. Please leave a message if we are not able to answer.

Age & Pace of Groups

Our groups have a nice mix of ages involved, all ages welcome. For our Saturday WALKS, all paces are welcome from beginners to those who like it quick as the ladies break up into various groups and then meet back up together at the end. For our Saturday HIKES, participants need to be in moderate to good physical condition due to the climbing involved. Our hikes are generally moderate and we take rest breaks but still we encourage beginners to start with the WALKS and then move into the HIKES once their stamina has built up. Unfortunately no dog visitors.

Fees

Walkingwomen is not-for-profit with the cost of membership kept to an absolute minimum to provide an inexpensive fitness opportunity to all women. Drop-ins are welcome, or you can purchase a punch card or an Annual membership to save. Sorry, no free visits. Fees cover wages, newsletters, website development & updates and other necessary expenses and services to organize and operate Walkingwomen year round.
